What is the point to it all?

After this contest going way past its deadline is back in action to kick this room off again - hopefully be a bit more diligent than was. But I shall thank him for his efforts anyway.
The winner of contest 2 was jee I hope I spelled that right. Her piece was totally amazing and she really deserved that win.
